Exam Blueprint and Pilot Exam

SDC Certifications is working to secure ANSI-ANAB approval for the American Culinary Federation Food Protection Manager Certification Examination. As part of the certification process, a panel of subject matter experts has completed a Job Task Analysis. This report contains an Exam Blueprint that identifies the essential food safety and sanitation tasks that must be considered in food handling and preparation. The blueprint is now available on this website under the Documents index.

We are now preparing a Pilot Exam. The Pilot Exam is a preliminary version of the Manager examination (no certification will be issued for a passing score). When the Pilot Exam becomes available in the next month or so, we will invite individuals to participate. The exam results will be analyzed to evaluate the validity and performance of the questions.

We will enter your name on the host site for the Pilot Exam, and when you are ready to take it, you will need to identify yourself using the same spelling you provided.
